Tattoo Aftercare Guide

Your new tattoo is a permanent piece of art, and proper care is key to ensuring it heals well and looks vibrant for years to come. Please follow these aftercare instructions carefully.

The Healing Process

Days 1-3 (With the Wrap On)

  • Keep the wrap on for 3 full days.

  • You can shower with it

  • Some fluid build-up inside the wrap is normal

  • Make sure the wrap's edges stay sealed

    • If the seal breaks early, remove the wrap immediately and follow the instructions below

Day 3 (Removing the Wrap)

  • Wash your hands thoroughly

  • Gently peel the wrap off

  • Wash your tattoo with warm water and unscented gentle soap

  • Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel (do not rub)

  • Apply a thin layer of moisturizer (avoid Aquaphor or any scented lotions)

Day 3-14 (Ongoing Care After Wrap Removal)

  • Moisturize at lease twice a day - or anytime the tattoo looks dry

    • Be careful not to over-moisturize; your skin should feel lightly hydrated, not greasy

  • Wash gently morning and evening with unscented soap for at least 10 days

  • Expect peeling and itching - this is normal

    • Do not scratch, peel or pick at the skin or scabs

What to Avoid

  • Don't scratch, pick, or peel at scabs or flakes as the tattoo heals

  • Don't use vaseline, Neosporin, scented lotions, scented soaps, or Aquaphor

  • Don't let pets, dirty hands, gym equipment or any other dirty things touch your tattoo

  • Don't expose your tattoo to heavy sweating, friction, or soaking

  • Don't wear tight or abrasive clothing over the tattoo for 2 weeks

  • Stay out of pools, hot tubs, baths, oceans, lakes, rivers, and saunas for 2 weeks

  • Avoid direct sun exposure to the tattoo for the first 5 days

After it Heals (2+ Weeks)

  • Moisturize regularly to keep the skin healthy and your tattoo vibrant

  • Always use sunscreen when your tattoo is exposed to the sun

  • Enjoy your healed tattoo! With proper care, it will stay bold and beautiful for years
